Frequently Asked Questions
-
In most cases, yes. My fees are paid by the hotels and travel partners I book through, not by you. In some cases planning fee may apply for complex, multi-destination itineraries this is always discussed upfront before any workbegins.
-
When you book through a portal like Expedia or Chase Travel, you're a number. When you book through me, you have access to Virtuoso, Four Seasons Preferred Partner, Hyatt Prive, and Marriott STARS benefits etc — things like complimentary breakfast, room upgrades, early check-in, late checkout, and property credits that portals simply cannot offer.
-
Not at all. I work with clients across the United States and internationally. Luxury travel planning is done entirely remotely.
-
East Africa safaris (Kenya and Tanzania), Bhutan, slow luxury wellness travel, and milestone trips. I have deep firsthand experience in all of these areas and personally vet every property I recommend.
-
Every property I recommend is one I've personally visited and paid for myself. I don't accept complimentary stays in exchange for recommendations. That means every suggestion I make is based on genuine firsthand experience, not asponsored relationship.
-
I've stayed at Mahali Mzuri in the Olare Conservancy and Finch Hattons in Tsavo West — both independently funded. These are among the most exceptional safari experiences in East Africa and I recommend them with full confidence.
-
Absolutely. Bhutan is one of the most profound travel experiences I've had. It requires advance planning, a licensed guide, and a sustainable development fee. I've visited Tiger's Nest, Punakha Dzong, and Dochula Pass and can design a culturally immersive itinerary that goes far beyond the typical tourist path.
-
For peak season Africa safaris (July-October) and Bhutan, 6-12 months in advance is ideal. For luxury hotel bookings in Japan, Europe, or Southeast Asia, 3-6 months is usually sufficient. That said, reach out regardless — last minute magics is sometimes possible.
-
I'll respond within 48 hours to schedule a complimentary discovery call. We'll talk about where you want to go, how you want to feel when you get there, and what kind of experience you're looking for. From there I'll build a custom itinerary proposal.
-
Yes — and you'll often get more value booking through me than directly. If the property participates in Virtuoso or one of my other programs, you'll receive perks on top of the best available rate.

I work best with discerning travelers who value quality over quantity — people who would rather have one extraordinary trip than three average ones. If that sounds like you, we'll get along well.
